At end of last row, bring starting edge up to meet evenly with last row(forming a tube), sl st both edges together.
At the end of the row, secure yarn, leave about a 4” length. Thread the yarn needle with this length and weave through the open edge of the tube, meeting back at where you started. Pull yarn to gather this end of the tube tightly. Secure and fasten off. This is the top of the pumpkin where the stem will be attached. Turn inside out and stuff pumpkin snugly. Weave another length of Orange around this open edge, gather and secure as before. This is the bottom of the pumpkin.
Stem (upgraded from stem in photo):With green and Sz F hook, sc evenly around top opening of pumpkin.Continue to sc on around for about 2 more rows, Begin to dec (pull up loop in next 2 sc - pull yarn through both loops on hook) as needed to end with stem in a point.
